Downtown Vancouver to Downtown Victoria – Cheap and Easy!

Want to try Airbnb? Get $40 off your first booking:

How to get from downtown Vancouver to downtown Victoria, taking BC Ferries and booking through the BC Ferries Connector.

BC Ferries Connector:

It is possible to plan your own way to the ferry terminal, but for people who don’t know the route very well (like me) I believe this is a convenient and affordable solution.

Note – in the video I mention that there are different stops available to get off the bus in Victoria. It’s also possible to chose a different location to get on the bus in Vancouver. There are a few different pick up locations across downtown. For me, heading to Pacific Central Bus Station was the easiest option though.

Disclaimer – after learning about BC Ferries Connector, I reached out to the Wilson Group and they offered complimentary travel between Vancouver and Victoria for making this video.

Air Canada Express 8074 | Victoria (YYJ) – Vancouver (YVR) | Trip Report 2017

In this video I am flying from Victoria on Vancouver Island back to Vancouver. I did this flight a year ago wanting to make a video of it but I kept falling asleep onboard the airplane and while doing so I dropped the camera a couple of times so the video was basically useless so this video is to make up for last year.

I started off by taking the ferry from Vancouver’s Tsawwassen ferry terminal to Victoria’s Swartz Bay ferry terminal. By the time I got to the airport in Victoria I had about three hours to kill before my flight Air Canada Express flight 8074. So while I was there I had went to Tim Horton’s for a Hot Chocolate and also browsed through the gift shop there, I also took time to check out the observation deck at the airport it had a great video of the field. After about an hour up there plane spotting and a short nap lol it was time to go through security which was a breeze.

Our flight departed on time 4:35pm we took off of Runway 09 and not long after takeoff we took a left hand bank to take up north towards Vancouver. It wasn’t a long flight we were only airborne for like barely 20 minutes while on approach into Vancouver I could see off to the left of the aircraft a Canadian Air Force CC-115 Buffalo but unfortunately you can’t see it in the video. We landed on time on Runway 08L and after a short taxi we made it to our gate. Hope you all enjoy this video 🙂 it was a pleasure bringing it to you.
