Theater Show Tickets

Theater and the performing arts is slowly becoming a thing of the past, there are societies across the country that are trying ever more to change this and bring local theater to the fore front in the entertainment industry once again. With the economy the way it is, local theater now has a chance to offer itself out, once again, to become a real answer to the question … "what are you doing this weekend?"

If you search for show tickets, you'll find numerous different sites offering all they can for you to buy your tickets from them. You're of Heard of the big names out there such as ticket master or see tickets. The smaller names is what we're interested in and getting people interested in local theater again. There are blogs all over the internet for local theater, which is great, in Birmingham for instance there is a small theater called The Crescent, a wonderful theater, run by the community and volunteers, but these guys are performers from across the Birmingham theater scene , they will show here for exposure but you're more than likely to see them performing at the REP or the Alex.

If you're interested then I urge you to have a look around. When you visit London, one of the main options is to take in a show, this may even be the purpose for your trip to London. If you search for London Shows or London Theater Tickets the results are in their thousands on what show is the best for you to see and why.

This is all well and good, and do not get me wrong or misquote me in saying that theater is anything less than world class in the larger cities – but I think what we miss when we miss going to our local theater is a little more of a community atmosphere, sitting somewhere for 2 hours where you believe that you belong to be and being able to relax into a show. Rather than sitting in a stuffy London theater for 2 hours surrounded by tourists.

Other cities across the country that are passionate about the theater come in the form of Liverpool, Leeds or of course, Edinburgh. Theater is a hidden gem, something that we should embrace as a nation and yet we simply let it go to become history.

In Birmingham, The REP theater company has just announced it's Christmas show for this year; Sleeping Beauty, always a classic and fun for all the family as is always the case at the rep, but it's not in it's usual location, The REP theater company's usual location is being refurbished for the Cities bid for city of culture in 2013, the company is touring this year and their Christmas show will be on the crescent theater, for more info visit the rep's website or one of the many blogs around about Birmingham theaters.
