Welcome to my COVID TRAVEL VLOGS SERIES, CANADA. In this vlog I will be taking you to Victoria, BC…the beautiful and historic capital city of British Columbia. To get from Vancouver to Victoria you have to travel by ferry.
We caught the Spirit of British Columbia ferry from the BC Ferries Terminal in Tsawwassen. Traveling by ferry during the Covid-19 pandemic was definitely different but the journey was so scenic and visually pleasing so it was all worth it!! After the hour and a half ferry ride we took the BC Transit Bus to Downtown Victoria and got our little vacation started!! The hotel we chose to stay in was one of Victoria’s premier hotels, Royal Scot Hotel & Suites. We got a very good deal thru booking.com and to make it even better we got upgraded to a full suite, for free!!!
We also did what all tourists do when in Victoria…we took the scenic horse-drawn carriage ride! It felt like we went back in time as our guide Nicole of Tally-Ho Carriage Tours explained the history of this beautiful Victorian city to us.
No trip to Victoria is complete without visiting Victoria’s gorgeous Inner Harbour which surrounded by iconic buildings like the Fairmont Empress Hotel and the BC Legislative Buildings. Saurabh and I roamed around the inner harbour for a while before deciding on a place to have dinner.
Due to Covid, the Inner Harbour wasn’t really bustling with tourists and locals alike, like it usually is… but I wasn’t complaining!! This just gave us more time and space to enjoy the Inner Harbour, which is actually considered the most beautiful harbour in the world. We finished off our day at The Tug Eatery where the food was absolutely phenomenal!!!
