Check it out! In the endangered old-growth forest of Lower Edinburgh Grove on southern Vancouver Island, a curious black bear with her cub checks out a motion-activated camera installed by the Ancient Forest Alliance across from a ancient hollow redcedar tree that she frequents. Coastal black bears in British Columbia typically hibernate in the winter in hollow old-growth cedars.
